Palace Inn Copperfield

The room was very clean, spacious, and had a comfortable bed, plus a new couch. The place also has smoking rooms that are really clean. Check-in was pleasant, and the property looks great from the outside. You can tell the owners have put a lot of care into remodeling inside and out and into the details. One small thing was off, though: the refrigerator didn’t work properly. Nobody gets every detail right, so I’m still giving it five stars. I’ll be back and would recommend it.

I had to leave a domestic violence situation and stayed here for a few nights. The young man was kind and helpful, but the older man was rude. My friend brought food for my mom and me during the day since we don’t have a car. He called and said visitors weren’t allowed in our room. That rule wasn’t listed on the reservation, website, or anywhere on the property. I understand not wanting people coming and going all night, but that wasn’t what was happening. I’d paid for the room and wasn’t bothering anyone, so the rule made no sense to me. Staying there made me feel like I was in prison. Completely ridiculous.

The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and the location is convenient. There’s a lot to do in the surrounding area.

When the power went out last night, they offered no full or partial refund. The power came back right before checkout, and they still made sure we left on time. On top of that, the room had ripped and burnt sheets, and the next day they wouldn’t offer a discount even if I booked another night. The service felt terrible and unsympathetic. I’m staying somewhere that treats us better tonight.
