Fairfields Inn and Suites by Marriott Selinsgrove

The breakfast was a real highlight, with fruit, yogurt, oatmeal toppings, baked goods from a local place, and plenty of other choices. We also made good use of the warm pool and whirlpool on three nights, and liked having towels and chairs and tables nearby. The gym looked great, too. We came for our first visit to see the area's Christmas lights. We usually stay at another nearby hotel, but its whirlpool had been out for three of the last four years, so we tried this one. The welcome at the door was lovely. Snow meant we needed to add a night, and Ashley at the front desk arranged it while we were out at breakfast. Housekeeping checked before coming in while we were in the room, then took our trash and recycling and brought fresh towels so we wouldn't run short. We walked to Marazoni’s, where showing that we were hotel guests got us 10% off the bill. It was also handy to be able to sign into Max, Philo, Amazon, or Netflix on the TV. We're leaving tomorrow and would gladly come back. I'll recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Breakfast took some planning for me since I avoid gluten and dairy and eat paleo. I managed with the hard boiled eggs and walnuts from the buffet, plus the Epic bars I carried around. I didn't go hungry. ;-) The room itself was quiet and roomy, with a sofa, desk, small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The buffet was decent.

The breakfast buffet was great, though I did miss having bacon. The staff were helpful and had such nice personalities, and both the room and the rest of the hotel were spotless and quiet. The room was well equipped, and whoever planned its layout did a brilliant job. I only stayed overnight, but I'd happily stay here again.

The included breakfast had nice choices, and the service was good. Everything was clean, too. This is the second hotel from this chain we've tried, and it was just what I expected. I'll look for one of these next time we travel.
