I booked this place because I was traveling with my dog, but my wife and I didn’t feel safe there. The car seemed okay, though there was major construction behind the hotel and wild animals were knocking over the garbage at night. There wasn’t much grassy space to walk the dog, and parking under the pavilion would block the entrance, so you have to use the side or rear parking. Inside, there were plenty of problems: the king mattress was lumpy, the three pillows felt like they were stuffed with yesterday’s popcorn, and some outlets and lights didn’t work. The heater and TV worked, and the microwave worked from a different outlet. The bathroom was dark, the shower had stains, the shower bar was pulling from the wall, and the loose toilet seat made using it a wild ride. My wife has been itchy since using the hotel soap and shampoo. We were also given only three tissues. Breakfast wasn’t much better. The juice machine sprayed every selection over itself and the counter, the yogurt was past its expiry date, and the vending machines were extremely expensive. There were seats for 21 people, some so worn they looked ready to rip your pants, and about a third were right by the front desk and entrance. We also saw a confrontation between a customer and staff over fraud, and the police showed up. This place needs serious maintenance and upgrades before I could recommend it.
We picked this hotel for one night on a two-day trip because we had our dogs, and the dog policy sounded good. The clerk adjusted our rate for the dogs and checked us in quickly, though they had company and weren’t very welcoming. The room door looked as if it had been pried open and wouldn’t latch or lock properly. We found we could get it to catch by lifting it while closing, so we put up with that rather than ask to move. Then we found there was no hot water. I called, and a different clerk asked us to give him ten minutes while he checked with the manager about getting a technician. He never called back, so we went down ourselves. The next morning, another guest said the water problem had been going on for two days and was asking for a refund. Nobody had told us about the known issue at check-in, which I found extremely unprofessional. At breakfast, I tried the juice machine, but it poured water out the back of the nozzles and all over the counter. The desk clerk watched without saying anything. The coffee was awful and undrinkable, so we left it. When I checked out, the clerk thanked me; only after I asked about compensation for the water did she say refunds were being offered, but she couldn’t issue one herself. It sounded like the earlier guest got a refund, since he asked for a receipt, but I’m not sure. I was told to email the hotel. About eight hours later, nothing had come through, so I’ll follow up if needed.
PK made the stay feel especially welcoming. He was polite, hardworking, and did an excellent job cleaning the room. His friendly manner made me feel right at home, and the whole experience was smooth and comfortable. Breakfast had a good range of choices each morning, and the wake-up calls came on time. Thanks to PK and the Best Western team for the hospitality. One of my best hotel stays, and I’d happily recommend it.
Check-in was quick, and our room was spacious, clean, and neat. The mattress was firm, though it had a soft topper. I wanted to give the hotel five stars, but it has no electric car chargers. I hope the owner adds NACS (North American Charging System) destination chargers, or ideally NACS Superchargers, soon.
There was no hot water in the showers anywhere in the hotel, and my email to the franchise owner asking for a 50% discount because of it went unanswered. The coffee multi-drink machine didn’t work either. During the January 2026 storm, the owners also didn’t hire anyone to clear the 5 inches of snow. I stayed over the last weekend of January 2026. The breakfast area wasn’t cleaned until 11 a.m. on either morning, even though breakfast ended at 9. There weren’t many guests, but the mess sat there too long. A photo I took in the afternoon showed an overflowing garbage can that had been that way for 48 hours. The desk worker knew and ignored it. The public lobby bathroom needed cleaning throughout my stay, and I don’t think she checked it at all. Both second-floor window air units were set to cooling instead of heat in January. The lobby furniture was outdated and worn, including an old gray rubber sofa that looked like it came from the 1980s. The other pieces were torn and tired too.
