Comfort Suites near Birkdale Village- Huntersville

The location is very handy, close to everything, but the hotel felt dingy and very dirty. It’s extremely outdated and needs renovations. At night there was outside truck noise, which I could deal with, but indoors we could hear children running, screaming, and slamming doors at all hours. It seemed to me that some families with children might be living there or staying long term. I wouldn’t stay again.

I’ve stayed here many times while working in charlotte, and it came to feel like a home away from home. The rooms were consistently clean and well maintained, the staff were wonderful, and as a solo female traveler I always felt safe. Knowing I’d have a clean, comfortable, safe place to land each time made traveling a lot less stressful. I’m trying other hotels in charlotte because I’ve built up a crazy amount of tolls commuting to work on 77 during rush hour. You can travel 77 without tolls, and tolls shouldn’t be a major issue for people visiting for fun outside peak hours, or for people with better time management who can handle doubling their commute. I hope the other places work out as well as this one did. If they don’t, I’ll have a good excuse to come back.

The rooms are clean and the location is good, but I’m giving one star because staff argued with my wife and pushed her out of the room before checkout, just because they needed time to clean while the hotel was full. How dare you! You’re lucky I wasn’t there. There was trash all over the parking lot, and the plants and landscaping looked like 💩💩💩.

The location was good, but next time I’m in the area I’d probably find somewhere else. The couch was stained and the pullout mattress was so disgusting we didn’t use it. I also didn’t think the sheets smelled good. At breakfast, the juice dispenser wasn’t working.
