Quality Inn Hyde Park Poughkeepsie North

I’ve given this hotel several stays, but twice now I’ve left things behind and had trouble getting them back. First it was my charger, which never turned up. This time I left my headphones on the nightstand and called 20 minutes after checkout, but they still weren’t there. This place is garbage. I won’t be coming back, and I don’t recommend it.

I slept well, and the place was clean and comfortable. There’s a small gym, but I wouldn’t use it with someone else in there unless I knew them. I didn’t try the continental breakfast, so I can’t comment on it. 🙏💕🐞

I’ve had very good stays at other Quality Inns, but this one was poorly managed. Both mornings the breakfast was barely warm because the staff had forgotten to switch on the warmers. The vending machines were nearly empty, the Wi-Fi was poor, and the lampshades in my room were torn.

The staff were really kind and helpful, and there’s a fridge and microwave in the room. It’s a decent place, though clearly not the ritz-Carlton. The bed wasn’t comfortable for about half of us, and the workmanship was shoddy in places. Still, things were clean, even if some of it was rusty. There’s no elevator. Breakfast gets about 2.5 stars from me: not much to choose from, and the waffle batter was watery. It was at least better than a “continental” option.
