ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham Indianapolis AmeriPlex

I’ve felt safe and at ease during my stay at Echo Suites, and the welcome is always warm. Pam at the front desk makes me laugh and feel comfortable. Talking with her is like talking to family, and she’s been a real help and a good listener during this time in my life. Allen greets me with a big smile and is always helpful too. Everyone has been great. Thanks, Echo Suites, for being here for me on this journey.

The location works well for me: far enough from downtown to avoid the Indianapolis rush, but still close enough to Plainfield and Indy that getting out to do something isn’t a hassle. I’ve been here long-term, and Pam and Allen have made it feel warm instead of impersonal. The staff remember me and check in regularly, and they’re willing to do a lot to make guests comfortable. From the rooms being clean to the day-to-day running smoothly, the place feels well managed and attentive to detail. The front desk team was welcoming from the start, consistently friendly and professional, and ready to answer questions or help with requests. I’d gladly return and recommend this as a dependable, comfortable extended stay.

I wish I hadn’t booked this place for 15 nights. It feels like many guests live here full time, and I don’t feel safe. I often see people smoking by the entrance or sitting in their cars for a long time smoking, and marijuana odor somehow gets into the restroom from other rooms. There’s no privacy sign to hang on the door. The Wi-Fi costs extra, and logging in to the paid service is difficult. The TV isn’t smart, and when I tried connecting my own streaming device, the TV wouldn’t work. The room phone doesn’t work either. The kitchenette has a cooktop and full-size fridge, but there’s no silverware or cookware. I’ve also seen someone’s teenager wandering around barefoot in dirty socks.

We stayed for nine nights and had no problems. It was quiet, very clean, and pleasant all around. The kitchen was nice, and the shower had amazing water pressure. Even the laundry room was spotless. We brought our two small dogs, and there was a walking area and pet stations for them. This would be my go-to place if I needed a hotel again.
