I booked through Expedia, but the app didn't mention the $100 deposit required to get a room key. When I asked why I had to pay it after booking through Expedia, the man at the desk was very rude. He told me the website showed it, but I'd used the app, not the website. They had said I could check in at noon. When I arrived at 11am, the room wasn't ready and they said probably by 2:00. I was annoyed but figured maybe it was a busy weekend. At 2:00 p.m. it still wasn't ready, and they told me to come back at 3:00. I ended up sitting in my car for 4 hours waiting. When I finally got in, the place was in shambles. It smelled like mildew and old people, everything was worn, and the walls looked like they'd been there since the 70s. I tried to open the window for air, but it was bolted shut with screws. God forbid there was a fire, I wouldn't be able to get out that way unless I broke it. For the Love of All that's holy, don't book here. You'd be better off finding a motel 6.

I really enjoyed our 19th anniversary here with my husband. The hospitality surprised me. Mrs.D, Ebony& Jun were so sweet and patient, and the staff were AMAZING. The breakfast was awesome, and the Jacuzzi was lovely 😍. Thank you Paul, keep up tha AMAZING WORK 👏 🙌🙌💓 #honeycombhideout 🙏🏽👌🏽. I'll definitely be back!

The hotel is next to the freeway, and the noise comes through the old windows like they're open. You can hear people talking in the parking lot as if they're right next door. The bright lot lights also shine through the curtains because they aren't long enough. The living room motion light kept turning on during the night even though it was switched off. Inside, it smelled musty and mildewy as soon as we walked in. There were ants in the bathroom, dirty spots on the sheets, stained towels, and food and crumbs mashed into the pullout bed. All 3 of us were disgusted. We were meant to stay 2 nights but left after the first. In the update, the owner said they'd checked the room and the pullout bed was "undisturbed." My kid slept ON TOP of the blanket because the bed was DIRTY, and the adults slept ON TOP of the visibly dirty bedding too. There's no way that pullout bedding had just been changed if food was smashed into the mattress. It was used on our trip, yet they called it "undisturbed," which says a lot. Do they only clean and change bedding if it "looks" disturbed? Highly NOT recommended.

Last month, we stayed here while visiting family in Indy and wanted somewhere near Eagle Creek. It was quiet, comfortable, clean, and inexpensive. We'll be back next year!
