Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Downtown

I don’t usually write reviews, but the staff were the nicest I’ve ever come across at a hotel. What beautiful souls! The location was great too. Walking to Lucas oil stadium was almost entirely indoors, apart from a short stretch between the convention center and the stadium. Kid friendly, and a 10/10 stay.

Brooklyn really stood out when I lost my room key. She went out of her way to help, and it was clear she cared about the hotel’s guests. The rooms were clean and pleasant, with everything we needed during our show week. There’s also access to a beautiful river path for walking or running. Great hotel, especially for the Indianapolis Convention center.

We stayed for the Big Ten Title game, and with the mandatory parking fee the hotel came to $500/night. Getting our car out of valet took more than 45 minutes. When I first saw the bathtub, I thought someone had thrown up in it, but a closer look showed rust spots. Either way, nasty. The hallway walls were scratched and battered, like something out of a fraternity house. At that price, I expected the service and amenities to match. I paid for a Marriot and didn’t get any of the perks, just felt ripped off. I won’t stay there again.

It was handy to reach the Convention center through the parking garage without going outside or moving the car, and breakfast was included. The breakfast was the same every day for all three days, which disappointed us a little, even if it was free. One of the hotel’s two elevators kept going out, but the staff stayed on top of fixing it. Great location near Indiana Convention Center, and we’d stay here again.
