Omni Severin Hotel

We've made the Omni our Jamfest weekend hotel year after year, but Regina's customer service has kept getting worse. She seems more argumentative with guests on each visit, and service doesn't feel consistent, with some people treated much better than others. This time we ordered sliders and fries. Both came out cold, and the fries were way too salty. Our server handled it kindly and professionally, but when Regina heard about the issue, she got defensive and argued about how the sliders had been entered into the system instead of trying to fix it. This isn't new. She was rude last year, and before the remodel the year before that, her attitude was unprofessional too. Everything else, from check-in to our room, was perfectly fine, but Regina's behavior is why I'm leaving a negative review. We won't choose this hotel for Jamfest again, and I'll tell our cheer family and friends to book somewhere else if they want better service.

The staff were exceptionally attentive, but the valet parking was a letdown. At first they said they wouldn't park our car, then told us to pull over to the side, and eventually said they would valet it. They weren't friendly, and the driveway seemed to be getting pressure-washed constantly even though it didn't look very dirty. When I walked out to look around, they were at it again, almost as if they were washing cars.

The food at both the restaurant and Cafe was excellent, and the whole atmosphere is uplifting and makes you feel special. Omni Hotel is a beautiful historic property, with amazing staff who go out of their way for guests. I can't say enough good things about it.

Omni Severin made my 40th birthday weekend feel special. After I joined the rewards program, they greeted me with a glass of wine, and when I came back from dinner there was a gift waiting in my room. The woman at the front desk was so hospitable and polite, and made me feel like we'd known each other forever. She was a Black lady, and I’m sorry I can't remember her name. Thanks to everyone who helped make the night special. I'll stay here whenever I'm in town.
