I was nervous when I arrived. The place looked almost abandoned, and there were four or five police cars in the lot. I’d booked without seeing it after finding much higher prices in another town. Someone eventually helped me check in and said things were fine, and they were. It’s an outdated place, but it worked well for a night. The sheets, towels, and bathroom were clean, though the floor could’ve been better and the carpets were old. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked, and the hot water was fine despite what I’d read in other reviews. It was also just seconds from the highway, which was handy when I had a couple thousand miles to drive. All in all, it was fine for me.

There’s no elevator, which could be a problem if your room is upstairs. My two friends had issues in their first room: the door lock was loose, and they found bugs and lots of spiders. They asked for another room and got one right away. The free breakfast was gross, with fake eggs and a soggy waffle.

The bed was comfortable, and the room stayed nice and cold. Getting into it was a hassle, though: none of our keys worked, and even the front desk staff struggled with the door. We still felt as if they were treating us like the problem. The room felt dated, from the TV to the coffee maker. The toilet made an alarming noise with every flush, and the bathroom door only closed if you slammed it. The hallways have hardwood floors, so every sound echoes and seems much louder. Inside was a little better than the rough exterior and disorganized parking lot, and it looks like they’re renovating.

The location was convenient for us, but that was the only good part. The beds and comforters had stains, the room was never cleaned, and they didn’t replace the toilet paper. The roll was down to about a quarter, with no new one left for us. Breakfast was cold and nothing was replenished, though the juice was actually good. We never got hot water. Staff blamed the older part of the hotel and told us to let it run for 15-20 minutes. We eventually got warm water, but not hot. For three people, they gave us two very old “towels”; when I asked for more, they gave me just one and said that was all we could have. The TV had only four channels and seemed to use an antenna. Do not stay here.
