We booked because the rooms looked nice and the rate seemed cheap, but ended up paying DOUBLE. After our son wet the bed on the first night, we told management and the front desk right away. They were kind and said they’d handle it. When we returned late, the beds had been made, but pulling back the sheets revealed a strong urine smell and what looked like my hair. I couldn’t sleep through the smell, so my husband asked about changing rooms. The desk worker said she didn’t know what to do and offered Febreze to cover the ammonia. We stripped the bed down to the top two covers and reported it again. They put on clean shoots. At checkout, we were charged $250 for mattress damage. We made many calls, got passed around, and were promised callbacks. Corporate escalated it, but management never called. When I called corporate again, they got the GM on the phone. He said they had thrown out two sets of sheets, two sets of this and that, a mattress, and nearly $2,000 worth of items. I asked for an itemized copy and still haven’t received it. The GM also told me they didn’t replace the mattress until after we left, meaning we apparently slept on a urine-soaked one for three nights. He admitted it was handled poorly and said he or his boss would call, but we never heard back and nobody tried to make it right. Instead, we got threats that they could have charged more. The bed wasn’t damaged; they needed to wash everything covering the mattress. I have a picture of the mattress pad from “after they cleaned it”. Absolutely ridiculous. If you have periods, children, medical issues, or are older with a weak bladder, don’t stay here.

The rooms are fine and the staff are as nice as can be, but this feels like a profit grab from a company with no pride in its product. Hilton really cheaped out. It’s not even that inexpensive, yet there’s almost nothing here: a few lobby chairs and a sparse breakfast, no fitness center, not even dumbbells and a treadmill. The location isn’t convenient either. You have to cross a busy road to find anything, though there is a church just outside the parking lot. And here’s a new one: no cold water in the sink, so be ready to boil your gums or brush your teeth leaning over the bathtub. This works only if you need a place to sleep in a pinch for one night.

The staff were the best part of my stay. The woman who checked me in and the manager who was leaving were caring and made my arrival better than expected. My wife was in a nearby ICU during a very difficult time, and the staff even offered late checkout so I could rest. The one thing they missed was my Hilton Diamond water or snack. For a budget “value” hotel, the experience exceeded my expectations, and the service was much better than I expected for the price. The rooms are spacious, remodeled at some point, and in good shape. But two things disrupted my sleep: the HVAC was inconsistent on a cold, windy night with a big temperature drop. Heat came from the center vent while cold air blew in at the ends. The walls are thin too, and I could clearly hear a neighbor’s TV. Breakfast is a simple cold spread of bagels and cereal. It’s solid, though I’d like some fruit and high-protein choices such as protein bars. I’m not sure I’ll return because of the noise.

I was between house renovations for a few nights, and this made for an easy, nice stay. The tucked-away location was convenient and, thank goodness, quiet. My room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was bagels, and the little nook where it was served wasn’t crowded. The housekeeping staff I passed in the hall were very kind, though I didn’t get their names. Trent at the front desk was helpful and nice when I checked in. I’d recommend it and stay again if I needed to.
