I was already impressed before my first booking, just from the notes in the hotel book. I’ve stayed twice now and plan to come back in a few months. The service has been so kind, friendly, and helpful every time, from the manager to room service and breakfast staff. They’ve even helped me with private things that had nothing to do with the hotel. I’m looking forward to meeting Laura, the new third star. Briony and Pam are the other two. Warm greetings to them. I feel at home here, maybe because I love this country and its people and way of life. I enjoy sitting on the veranda of an American house with a beer, like Clint in Gran Torino. See you soon at the beautiful Stone Soup Inn. Greetings, Matt.

We had a lovely stay at the stone soup inn. The room was clean and nice, and breakfast was a tasty continental spread. It’s a charming house in a cute neighborhood full of other cool Victorian homes. We wandered around looking at the houses, then walked to the Bottleworks area for dinner and drinks. I’d definitely recommend it and stay again if we’re back in Indy.

That night in the Carriage House was one of the best rests we got during two weeks of hotel stays. It’s a clean, comfortable little loft separate from the Inn, with a small kitchen and washer and dryer, so it felt like a home away from home. My fiancé and I decided on a whim to stay one night, arriving around 7:30 PM. Laura, the Inn keeper, welcomed us like an old friend, showed us the common areas and where breakfast would be served, then walked us over to our place. In the morning she’d made a lovely breakfast for everyone and even offered to make fresh waffles. I’d pick this place for a week over a hotel for a weekend while visiting the area.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and we especially enjoyed swapping travel stories about exploring the United States. My family and I had a great stay at the Stone Soup Inn and would come back when we’re in Indianapolis again.

Breakfast was delicious and clearly made with care, and the Inn felt cozy, peaceful, and full of character. It’s beautifully maintained, too. Laura and Pam brought so much warmth, humor, and kindness to our stay that we felt more like old friends than guests. They welcomed us so genuinely and went out of their way to make us comfortable. You can tell they love what they do. Our time at the Stone Soup Inn in Indianapolis was incredible, and I can’t wait to return. If you want a relaxing, memorable stay in town, I can’t recommend it enough.
