Perry's Motel and Cottages

The cottages are simple and old, but they have a lot of charm and character. The peaceful, beautiful setting and the owners’ genuine kindness made us feel welcome. It’s comfortable and affordable, with a down-to-earth feel that’s getting hard to find. This is a special place in the White Mountains that really feels like home.

There was plenty for kids of all ages to do, from toddlers to teens, with a pool, playground, games, and toys. The fresh coffee and grab-and-go breakfast were nice too. The location was perfect for Storyland and other things to do in North Conway. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower pressure was an unexpectedly pleasant surprise. The owners were easy to talk to, pleasant, and down to earth. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be back. I’d recommend it to anyone with kids!

We had a reservation, but I never stayed here. The confirmation email looked like it listed one bed even though I’d booked two, so I texted, emailed, and called the owner to check. No one got back to me. We went at 11 a.m., not to check in, just to confirm the beds. The office was empty, and the inside door said to knock, so we did. After knocking twice, a young girl came to the door and said her father would be right out. We thanked her. He came out wearing no T-shirt, just shorts, and asked what we wanted before I could explain. He said it was 11 a.m. and he needed to get his phone, went into the house and slammed the door hard, then came around the outside of the office swearing. Inside, he said his wife was at a soccer game. I told him not to worry, we wouldn’t stay with that attitude, and we left. We were two women without our husbands, and his behavior made us uncomfortable and scared. I don’t think he would have acted that way if our husbands had been there. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Our kids loved the pool, playgrounds, and toys, and we enjoyed the continental breakfast too. We stayed in a cottage at Perry's for a family trip and loved it. It’s a great base for Storyland and other attractions nearby. We hope to return next summer with more family.
