We've stayed here several times in a row while visiting family for the holidays, and I'm grateful we don't have to drive another half hour to Aberdeen. The price is hard to beat. The handful of rooms are bright, clean, and simple, with the essentials but no excess. With two toddlers, I found it as child-proof as a hotel can be. The larger suite works very well for us, with a queen in the main room and two more queens in the adjoining room. We once had to bring our injured dog, and the dog amenities were clean and warm in cold weather. The reserved kennel even has camera access. Breakfast isn't elaborate, but it's perfectly enough for a couple of mornings. The kiosk check-in can be a bit of a pain, though not enough to take off a star.

11/10/25 - 11/13/25: The rooms were nice and the place was clean throughout. We were gone before breakfast each day. It was very quiet during harvest time, though you're about 150 feet off US HWY 12, so there was an occasional train horn. I was only looking for directions at first, and Google maps kept asking me questions I couldn't answer yet. I'll be going there soon.

After a long day searching for hotels in Aberdeen, everything was full, so we drove an extra 25 miles to this place without knowing what we'd find. We were prepared to sleep in our truck if we had to, but this gem was such a nice surprise. The rooms were nice and clean, and the welcoming lounge had a fireplace and a big TV. Our 10-year-old called it the bestest place ever. A delightful way to end a long day. Highly recommend.

The kennel options for animals were upgraded, which we really appreciated. The facility was nice overall, and our room was clean, comfortable, and clearly updated. We had a great stay at the Yellowstone Motel and will definitely be back. Booking by phone took longer than we expected, and wear and tear made the self-service kiosk a little tricky to use. Those small inconveniences didn't take away from the good experience.

The rooms have plenty of space and services right in them. There’s also a full-service store and gas about a half-mile drive away. This place feels like a real find out in the middle of nowhere, and the attendants were great. I’d suggest signing in online since the front desk may not be around at certain times.
