We came with friends for a June weekend trip and rented the full cabin: three king beds and two bathrooms. It's affordable, in a great spot, and has wonderful amenities. The room is modern and updated, staff were accommodating and friendly, and the beds were comfortable, smelled clean, and had no stains or hair. We'll be back for other adventures. For the price, I'd give it three stars, and we plan to bring Windex and a broom next time. The website info caused some anxiety before we arrived. No pet treat was provided at check-in, and the confirmation email had inaccurate reservation details, with different prices in two emails and no pet fee or deposit listed. They're making website adjustments. The room also wasn't cleaned properly. There were streaks on the tables and counters, dirt and crumbs on the floor and under furniture, and dirty windows. Dirt and pollen covered the deck and patio furniture, so I used a towel to clean the table and chairs before we could sit outside. Two TVs in the king rooms didn't work. At 3 a.m., the studio AC started flashing its LED light; I turned it off and we were fine. The studio shower had hair and grime on the floor, nearly empty soap, and no hot water. That was disappointing after a day of Whitewater rafting.

Leslie made my first stay here, for a birthday getaway, memorable in all the right ways. I had a great time and am grateful. The blend of serenity and history makes it a perfect getaway any time of year. I'll definitely be back soon.

The front desk staff were all really nice, and everything else I experienced on the property was world class. It's very close to the golf course, so the stay and play packages are great. The room itself was only okay for sleeping, and it looked like there'd been a quick, rough refresh, with fresh paint and new accessories that seemed poorly installed. Room 309 had several little annoyances: the TV remote battery cover was missing, the bathroom faucet and toilet paper holder were very loose, the Kleenex box had only three tissues left, one of the lamp's two bulbs flickered, the shower was tiny, the body wash was empty, and the bathroom fan didn't work.

The open trails are usually groomed well, and the skiing is decent overall with a good variety. Still, I wouldn't call it terrible, but Pine Mountain isn't convenient or kid friendly, and there are better options a short drive in either direction. With a little effort, it could be a great place. I suggest Norway Mountain or Ski Brule instead, especially for families. This review is about Ski Hill only. I've gone to Pine Mountain one to three weekends each season for six years. Two weekends ago, I went during a ski race, so there were lots of kids, from toddlers up. The lift workers had music playing with F-bombs and cuss words all over it. I said something and nothing changed. The number of open trails is always lower than advertised. I've never seen the Spruce chair open, so don't plan to ski that side. The lodge is a disaster. Bring your own food, because the kitchen can't keep up with basic grab-and-go burgers or chicken fingers. There aren't any cubbies anymore, so people's gear takes up the tables and makes lunch much more of a hassle than it should be.

The restaurant was the rough part. It took forever to bring the food, and nobody seemed happy with what they got. Still, I’d stay here again. The pool area was nice, and I liked the scenery. The rooms were comfortable with the amenities I needed, though my bathroom was so cramped that the door hit the toilet when I tried to open it.
