Embassy Suites by Hilton Irving Las Colinas

The room was clean and matched what I booked, and I appreciated getting the complimentary cocktail-hour vouchers. Still, this first visit to Embassy Suites by Hilton Irving Las Colinas left me underwhelmed, especially after seeing so many five-star reviews. At check-in, I waited while the agent worked on the key machine, chewing gum loudly and talking on the phone. When she finally addressed me, it felt more like “yeah, what do you want?” than a welcome. Later, nobody picked up when I called the front desk with a question. Housekeeping knocked at about 8:30 AM the next morning. I asked for a moment while we got ready for breakfast, but they didn’t return. Breakfast was disappointing too, with many items gone and what remained overcooked or burnt. The stay wasn’t terrible, just ordinary and forgettable for service and experience. I can see why the glowing reviews confused me.

The breakfast was awesome, and the gentleman clearing up after everyone was so courteous. As a business owner, I noticed how hard the employees work. My wife and I felt happy here, and Isaac was especially kind and helped make our trip go well. If you stay, let Issac know he’s doing a great job. One frustrating moment: I asked the cook for eggs, and he said he’d be right back, then went to the back and just looked at me. I never got my eggs. Bad business, but this Embassy Suites really rocks, and breakfast is still great.

The people working here made the biggest impression on us. They were helpful and kind from check-in through checkout, and we felt looked after throughout the stay. The hotel is also convenient for getting around, with the airport, convention center, and city close by. It’s in a safe area, and there was plenty of parking when we visited. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the grounds were pleasant to walk through. We enjoyed the fresh hot buffet breakfast with its good range of choices, and the bar was a nice place to relax in the evening. The welcoming atmosphere, comfort, food, and service made this a memorable stay. I’d recommend it to visitors to the area.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times on business and expect to come back. It’s well located for getting around the area, though away from the airport. The hotel seems relatively new, so the rooms feel up to date. They’re clean and usually well stocked, but during our last visit there was just one small roll of toilet paper and we had to ask for more. If you arrive late, you might end up parking behind the building, but the lot is well lit.
