Rodeway Inn Modesto near Downtown

I felt safe and secure here. The owner was kind and accommodating, and you can tell he really cares about guests. The rooms were clean and modern, and the pool was lovely. Highly recommend!

Meeting Raj and family was worth the stay by itself. This is a distinctive, good-value budget motel, and easily the best quality for the money in Modesto. The owner-operators are friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean, with spotless beds and sheets, clean baths and showers, good TVs and channels, cold refrigerators, and very clean microwaves. The pool is the cleanest in town, and the prices are extremely fair.

I used to find this place accommodating, but the gentleman there shadows a guest's every move. Management should give guests the privacy and space they expect, and keep a guest's business between them and the person renting the room. Sharing it with anyone else is unprofessional and disrespectful. I was told I couldn't rent there anymore because of my "attitude." If my business had been kept private, maybe management wouldn't have received the attitude they got after disrespecting me. I'm also concerned that three bottom-floor rooms don't have smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors. Shouldn't those be installed for guest safety? Fix that issue instead of focusing on my attitude.

I spent quite a bit of time here and enjoyed my stay. The owner is friendly, attentive, and easygoing. It's a good budget inn, and I'd recommend Rodeway Inn if you need somewhere safe, affordable, and accommodating.
