Hilton Garden Inn DFW Airport South

Angelina came through for my group when we were in a bind after leaving Embassy Suites across the street. She said that hotel had a lot of issues, and at 3 a.m. she got more than 20 rooms sorted out for us. The next morning, Victoria was very sweet and accommodating. Six stars for both of them! The night desk clerk was rude and gossipy, but the warm welcome and care from Angelina and Victoria made up for the short time we dealt with her. Great place and service.

Laura was great, and the manager, I think her name was Jacqueline, went around introducing herself and checking on guests at each table. You don't usually get that kind of personal touch at a hotel. It made the place feel really warm and welcoming. A 10-star experience!

The staff were excellent, helpful, and on top of service, so my complaint is about the room. I've spent eight months of the year in hotels, and this bed was the worst I've encountered, like an ancient cinder block. I put a blanket on the floor because it was more comfortable. The showerhead leaked badly, the AC was noisy enough to keep me awake, and you could hear airplanes day and night. Maybe those seem minor to some, but for the price, it wasn't a pleasant stay at a Hilton property. If my company weren't paying, I'd have gone elsewhere. The in-hotel store also charges outrageous prices, though that seems common these days.

I came back to DFW from an international trip to Brazil during the latest ice storm and stayed here. The rooms and location were good, but the service was what really stood out. Reine, Norman, and Rosio from check-in and dining made the place feel welcoming and helpful, even with the weather and what must have been a lot of frustrated travelers. Thanks, guys!
