Motel 6 Dallas - Irving DFW Airport South

Whataburger and burger king are just a hop and a skip away, and there’s a menu for pizza delivery too. This little motel was a great find for a night or two, with easy highway access, a good shower, TV, and wifi. The room was clean and the AC was already on after I called to say we were coming in from out of town. Terra helped me book over the phone and honored my AARP. When we arrived, Nasir made sure we got a downstairs room. Both clerks went above and beyond. If I’m in the area again, I’ll stay here.

I found the location sketchy, and wouldn’t recommend it for a woman traveling alone. The smell was awful, thick in the room and bedding, and there was an oily film on the furniture. I assume it was a cleaning product, but it’s not something I’d ever use. I had to sleep with my head wrapped in my coat to avoid breathing the odor, and the smell stayed in my coat for the rest of my 5 day trip. I can’t describe how uncomfortable and disgusted I felt.

The rooms were spacious and airy, and we had a wonderful stay. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which made the location really convenient. The staff were courteous and helpful, especially Nasir at the front desk.

Clean room and nice staff. It’s good value for the money, though the rooms are a little humid.
