Holiday Inn Chicago West - Itasca

The breakfast was delicious, and the breakfast room had a friendly atmosphere. Staff were friendly too. My husband and I were in Chicago for a weekend and stayed here briefly. The room was spacious, the bed clean, and the room itself was okay, but we had to complain a few times about the bathroom. The fire alarm also went off once, which was scary, though they said it was just a glitch.

We come here for four little getaways with the kids each year and have held three parties here, with more to come. The food is delicious, the indoor pool is huge and always clean, and our rooms have been clean too. We’ve never had a problem. Breakfast is free, tasty, and has a great range of options. The staff are friendly, and Ramiro has always treated us very well.

The restaurant food was fantastic, and there’s a nice bar space for weekend drinks or getting together. The hotel was renovated about ten years ago and works well for parties and conventions. Customer service was great too. Our waiter even ran after us to bring an ice cream treat for our two girls, despite my youngest being a total nightmare through dinner.

The service was awesome, especially from the accommodating breakfast staff. The rooms felt kind of odd, though. They smelled like paint and were missing the cabinet doors. Maybe there was work being done, but still. It’s a great venue and good for events.
