Motel 6 Jackson, Ms - Southwest

The room was literally falling apart, and there was a lot of hair in the tub from whoever stayed before us. The one bright spot was Antonio on the morning shift, who was professional and courteous. The motel is right off the 20, which is convenient, but I won't stay there again. The website lists free coffee and Wi-Fi, but neither was available. Around 9 p.m., after we had settled into our rooms, we asked the night clerk how to get a clearer answer about the Wi-Fi password. He said the Wi-Fi wasn't working and a technician would be there in four hours. Who's coming in at 1 a.m. on a Saturday night, Sunday morning?

At first glance the rooms seemed modern and clean, and the location is great. It also seemed pretty safe for a Motel 6. But the room smelled strongly of mold and mildew, like other reviews mention. It probably won't hurt you for one night, but it could've been better.

The manager was very nice when I checked out. I only lasted 30 minutes, though. For $60 a night, the room was in rough shape: the tub wasn't clean, towels were on the floor, and it smelled moldy. Barely any lights worked. One wall light came on, and the desk lamp had only one bulb. This place needs some help. What happened, Tom?

The staff were so friendly, and I loved my stay. The black guy made sure my family and I got to our room safely, gave my kids treats, and helped with our luggage.
