The location is a big plus. You’re right in the heart of Jackson, with at least five ski resorts 30-45 minutes away, plus plenty of places for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are also sleigh rides, ice skating, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. We stayed over Christmas weekend. The rooms were clean and modernized, and the lobby had Christmas decorations and a cafeteria area around a fireplace. Hot food was a pleasant surprise for post-COVID lodging: eggs, waffles, bagels and toast every day, with sausage and potatoes on some days. The staff didn’t intrude, and for a late arrival they left the key and paperwork. Really good value for the money.

I’d stay here again. For the price, this place punches above its weight, with clean rooms, friendly staff who give you space, and a surprisingly good free breakfast. There’s a waffle maker, bagels and English muffins, scrambled eggs, home fries, cereal, milk, juice and yogurt. They even had a fireplace going each morning. I wasn’t expecting much, so that spread was a pleasant surprise. There are nicer places, sure, but I had no disappointments. The rooms weren’t new, though they’d been updated enough not to feel old, and nothing looked dirty. I noticed nice scents in the hallways, a thoughtful little touch. The beds weren’t memory foam, but I slept like a rock. Rooms have a mini fridge and vanity area, plus a separate tiled bathroom area with a tub or shower and sink. They all seem to have a patio or balcony with a couple of chairs. The water was hot and clean. The walls and floors are thin. I could hear people above me getting into and out of bed, and occasional big rigs or loud muffled cars on Rt. 16 outside. Still, the noise never woke me or kept me up. The staff were friendly and stayed out of the way. It’s about five minutes north of the Glen, NH intersection, in Jackson village near the covered bridge. I figure there are around 14 rooms on each floor. This was one of the cheaper options I found in the North Conway/White Mountain area, so my expectations weren’t high. I was disappointed to find the Glen Junction restaurant had been replaced with a Mexican food place. I’d been going to the old spot for over 20 years.

The room with the fireplace and hot tub was cozy and warm. After flushing some gross flakes out of the tub, we used it and it was divine. But we had to leave at 4 am, in the middle of the night, because there was an ant infestation in the room. My girlfriend couldn’t sleep knowing they were there, so we packed up and went home.

I’d happily stay again. The owner was friendly and accommodating, and the place looked clean and well cared for. The grounds are relaxing, and it was lovely listening to the creek. Our room faced the street and had a mountain view, but we couldn’t hear traffic at night. Breakfast had a good variety of food. My only complaint is that the mattresses aren’t firm. Highly recommend.

This was our fourth stay at the Jackson Lodge, this time for six days, and all of our visits have been wonderful. It’s quiet and exceptionally clean, with neatly kept landscaping, a delicious breakfast, and staff who are friendly and helpful. A great stay whether you’re there for one night or a week. Highly recommend.
