Days Inn by Wyndham Jacksonville South Memorial Hospital

I've stayed here three weekends while in town for work because it's close to my job, and each time I had a different room. The staff were friendly every visit. The sheets seemed clean, though I kept my shoes on until I was ready for bed. The sidewalks throughout the hotel look like they haven't been cleaned since maybe 2004. Keeping them clean might make it easier to keep the room carpets clean too. Every room I stayed in had a problem with a clogged sink that drained very slowly.

The room was filthy, with a carpet full of stains. I checked the sheets in my non-smoking room, and the blanket had several cigarette burns. The tub was dirty, and on a few occasions I saw a tiny bug in the sink. There was also water on the floor beside the tub and toilet, though I couldn't tell where it was coming from. They charged the wrong card for my payment as well. This was the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in. Days Inn should either close it for good or shut it down for a complete remodel. Day inn, you can do better.

The second room was clean, and it stayed quiet all night. But the first one hadn't been cleaned and smelled like dog piss. I was told to check it and wait 15 minutes for housekeeping if it wasn't clean, which wasn't my job. A few working women were walking around, but nobody bothered us. The complimentary breakfast wasn't really breakfast, and I probably won't stay again.

It's day three with no room service. I asked the front desk after the second day, then spoke to the clerk this morning and said we'd be out for a couple of hours. I asked for towels and soap so we could shower and leave, and was told the room would be cleaned by the time we got back. We returned and it still hadn't been touched. Great service, guys.
