Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville JTB/Deerwood Park

The room was mostly clean, but the bedding, bed, and bathtub had visible stains. I brought my own sheets and cleaning supplies, yet this still fell short of what I expect from a Hilton. The parking policy also left me frustrated. I was told the required fee is $10 per day, but staff said the lot has neither monitoring nor security cameras, and signs say the hotel isn't responsible for incidents involving guest vehicles. It's hard to see what the fee supports under those conditions. If there have been problems, security measures or deterrents would make more sense. This was the first Hilton where I've encountered a required parking fee, and I found it surprising. On the better side, the front desk staff were incredibly friendly, check-in was quick and easy, and the entry area was pleasant. There was also a small happy hour space that several couples seemed to enjoy. I'd stay again if there were a few minor improvements and the parking fee were corrected.

The hotel was clean, though the area is very busy, and everyone was nice. My main issue was the bed and pillows. The pillows were super flat, and the beds were so uncomfortable that my husband didn't sleep at all. We only stayed one night.

We had a great time staying here with family last week. Lex at reception got us checked in quickly and efficiently, and made sure we had everything we needed. The staff were very helpful, and we'll stay here again.

Lex is a great person to have at the desk. She always had a smile whenever I saw her. Brenda seems fairly new, since she needed quite a bit of help. Breakfast was pretty basic.
