Ramada Jacksonville South Conference Center

We came back in 2025 after visiting two years earlier, when they were renovating. Somehow it looked worse this time. The rooms smelled, the floors were coming up, and the rooms were horrible. We were told ours had been renovated, but the bathroom side walls were peeling, and things were falling from the ceiling in my parents' room. The air worked, which is the only positive thing I can say, and that isn't saying much. My niece was locked out of her room for over two hours because there was nobody at the front desk. The morning desk worker wasn't wearing a badge, so I couldn't identify him. He wasn't approachable and had a slick, irritated attitude. The evening shift guy, stephen, was pleasant and nice. There was so much wrong with this place.

The room smelled strongly of mildew, and there was some white powder on the table. I hope it was carpet deodorizer. The place is run down, with bugs and a ceiling that looks like it’s coming apart. The tub drained so slowly that it was full before the water even got warm. I wouldn’t stay here.

The pool wasn’t working, and plenty of things around the hotel need fixing. I went up to the second floor for ice and was met with a musty smell. The entrance is actually around the back of the building. In the shower, the water pressure was very low and it took about 20 minutes to get warm; there was also a hair in the tub. They don’t provide breakfast, just a bag of snacks.

We couldn’t even sit on the furniture in the room. There were stains on the couch and hair in the open drains, and the fourth-floor hallway had obvious water damage and was a mess. We left right away and sat in our car while Wyndham looked for somewhere else for us. At check-in, we waited at the desk for ten minutes while the clerk stayed in the back looking at his phone. This was the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I have photos, and I won’t stay at another Ramada.
