TownePlace Suites by Marriott Jacksonville

We stayed in a comfortable two-bedroom suite and had a great visit. Marriott makes it easy to travel with my dogs when I need to take a quick trip and don't want to kennel them. I came and went often with them, and the staff were all so friendly. Everyone wanted to fuss over them and hand out little dog-bone treats. Breakfast was simple and on the small side, but very good and cooked just right, with plenty of choices: eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, cold cereal, pastries, milk, and juice. I'd definitely return.

For a two-night family stay, this was comfortable and a great value. The breakfast area was clean and well kept, and the customer service was excellent. Andrea at reception was friendly and gave us useful information. Jackie, the General Manager, clearly takes pride in the hotel, which shows in how she interacts with guests and employees. I'd recommend TownPlace Suites in Jacksonville, NC to anyone looking for a nice hotel and helpful service.

The stay itself was fine, with good service and an average breakfast. We were here while moving into town. If you're bringing pets, though, know that they add $110 to the bill plus another $10 per night, and there's a parking fee too. Other hotels in the area are just as nice or better without such high pet charges.

The staff were friendly, and there was hot coffee available all day and night. The breakfast area was nice, and I liked the waffles, though the bacon looked undercooked and wasn't for me. The room was small and clean. The TV was small too, and the internet was so bad that streaming kept buffering. If I hadn't hated packing up so much, I would have moved across town for the rest of my trip. If you need to get work done, stay somewhere else. The internet was the worst.
