We were just passing through on the way to St. George, so I can't speak to the rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was nice to stop in. Inside, there's a gift shop, a U-shaped counter restaurant, and a small store with some great locally made cookies. A family and local history display sits toward the back, near a larger dining area that wasn't open during our visit. Outside, there's a big parking lot and a Chevron right next to the inn. I'd avoid that gas station if you can. The inn is right off U.S. Highway 89A, surrounded by a beautiful pine forest.

I didn't stay overnight, just went in for snacks and to use the clean restroom. The attendant was kind, and there was a cozy fire going. It made a cold stop feel warm and welcoming. I'd recommend stopping here on the way to Utah, since there's nothing else for miles.

The staff were right on top of anything we needed, and the cozy room made us feel like part of the family. Breakfast was amazing, and the service was even better. We love staying at Jacob Lake and will keep coming back whenever we're in the area and need a place to stay.

The stars here are still like nowhere else, but if you're looking for much beyond nature and the basics, look elsewhere. The shop was so empty that other visitors thought I worked there, and the staff weren't friendly. The TV wouldn't work properly with either Roku or cable. They also didn't sell the exact same yarn as Cameron Trading Post. It's sad to see the service decline.

The Jacob’s Inn Store is where you check in, and it also has a diner serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus a bakery, desserts, and a small convenience store. Our stay was wonderful, and we'll be back next year. The place is clean and convenient, and worth the price. You can choose a cabin, motel, or hotel room, and the cabins are DOG FRIENDLY. Every option has internet, bathrooms, showers, electricity, and heat, all on the same property as the store. Don't let the “2-star” rating scare you.
