TownePlace Suites by Marriott Janesville

The little kitchenette is a big plus for me, even though the cooking tools they provide are pretty minimal. The room was a good size for one king bed, and I really like the shower and bathroom setup. The bed is super comfortable, the rooms are always clean, and the staff are consistently nice and friendly. It has a higher-class feel without the high-class prices. I love booking here and will definitely be back.

Austin was kind and accommodating, which is why this is two stars instead of one. The rest of the stay was incredibly frustrating. We had an approved late checkout, but the front desk manager, Sierra(?), kept trying to make us leave well before the agreed time. It disrupted what should have been a smooth departure, and only after we pushed back several times did they admit the mistake and backtrack. Guests should not have to argue to get the terms promised to Ambassadors honored after the hotel has approved them. Checkout times also shouldn't be changed just because the cleaning staff wants to go home. Guest agreements and policies need to be respected regardless of internal scheduling. The lack of customer service and accountability for Bonvoy standards made for a poor experience.

The location is handy for getting to all the key places nearby. A very nice, simple place to stay, and the breakfast was basic but OK.

Jennifer deserves a special mention. She greeted us with a smile and gave excellent service. The hotel itself is well maintained, with tidy grounds and expert management, and the rooms are superior for a very competitive price. Easy five stars.
