We only needed a cheap room for one night after visiting Holiday World, and this Super 8 worked out well. It was clean, had what we needed, and didn’t cost much. The person at the desk was friendly and handled our very late arrival with a smile. For a basic, no-frills place, it met my main needs: a clean, comfortable room at a fair price. The building and furnishings do show their age. The furniture and decor are worn, the sink had no drain plug, and the countertop damage initially looked like dirt until I saw it was just wear. The air handler was also somewhat loud even on its lowest setting, though I’m not sure whether age was the cause.

We spent two nights at the Super 8 in Jasper, Indiana, for an event at Holiday World. It was an affordable place to sleep, and most of the staff we met were really helpful and nice. The bathroom had a few maintenance problems. The sliding door kept slipping off its track, and we couldn’t work out how to put it back, so we had to keep moving it around throughout the stay. The shower floor had a strange hole or crack, and the toilet paper holder seemed loosely reattached after being pulled from the wall. It came off whenever we tried to tear off paper. It wasn’t a terrible stay. If you want an inexpensive place near Holiday World and can live with some small repairs being needed, it does the job.

The staff greeted us with smiles during a very late check-in, and the hotel smelled great. The rooms are nice, clean, and priced well, and the property is in a decent area. I know the SUPER 8 name can seem a little sketchy, but this one could be the example that makes people feel comfortable with the brand again. I highly recommend it!

This is a clean, affordable place, and the owner is friendly. It’s only about five minutes from where I needed to go in Jasper, which is a great community to visit. For a budget stay, you can’t ask for much more.

The staff were very friendly, and I managed to reserve a room late at night when I arrived. The hotel is quite dated, but the low price makes sense. My main complaint was the bed, which was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The carpet and bathroom were a bit grimy, though not too bad. It’s near Santa Claus water park, Walmart, and several chain restaurants.
