We watched the sunrise over the river and mountains from bed and our private porch, with a 270-degree view. The room was lovely and comfortable, with a mini fridge, bottled water, a Keurig, and comfortable chairs. On arrival, we found a dozen roses, chilled Prosecco, and fresh chocolate covered strawberries. The bathroom had a luxurious soaking tub and every amenity we could want. The Lilly Valley Inn was spotless, beautifully kept, and elegantly styled, with inviting places to read by a fireplace, play board games downstairs, or enjoy the New River views. There was a full coffee and tea bar, fresh baked cookies, and wine, too. The gourmet three course breakfast was worth the visit on its own. Our first morning included a fruit parfait, French baked eggs, and peanut butter banana bacon French toast. We loved this quiet escape for a cold January weekend, even though we live only about 30 minutes away. It felt especially relaxing. We’ll be back for the hospitality, views, and memorable breakfasts.

Breakfast was delicious, so come hungry. We also had a great time at Cascade Falls, if you're looking for a hike. The best part of the morning was sitting on our deck with coffee, watching fog drift over the river. The views were gorgeous, the rooms were beautiful, and the whole scene felt magical.

The view was incredible, and the rooms were clean and expertly decorated. Breakfast was divine, and Chef Lilly went out of her way to accommodate my dairy allergy. We had an amazing trip at the Lilly Valley Inn, and I’d highly recommend it.

Lilly was kind and knew a lot about things to do nearby. We were comfortable in our well appointed room, and the view was hard to beat. Breakfast was amazing each morning. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend the inn.

Be sure to sign up early for the cooking class, since space is limited. We had a blast, and the massage chair was amazing too. The inn sits on a hill above Walker Creek and the New River Valley, about 30 minutes from Virginia Tech. Its decor is light, modern, and elegant, and the views are spectacular. Breakfast starts promptly at 8am, with plenty of fresh coffee and juice, followed by a scrumptious three course meal. It’s a quintessential luxury inn, and we had a fabulous stay.
