The breakfast bar was the best I've seen at this level: hot cheese omelettes and sausage links every morning, along with the usual cold items. The gym was better equipped than I expected, with a full rack of dumbbells and kettlebells, balance balls, and the usual equipment. Towels and bottled water were provided too. Staff were friendly, efficient, and easy to find. My room was comfortable and well equipped, with a good mattress and linens, a thermostat that worked perfectly, and a huge TV with Netflix and YouTube. The system logged me out after checkout. The hotel is new construction, in a very convenient location, and I could choose a king or two queen beds. In Joliet, there's no real alternative if you need a room, though there are other reasons to stay here too. A couple of things weren't great. The walls are thin, so noise can be an issue if you're sensitive to it, though the guests and kids seemed well behaved and quiet hours were respected. The fridge was set too cold, and I didn't realize until I took a big gulp of curdled milk in the morning. Housekeeping also left more hair in the bathroom than I did. Gross on both counts. If you're staying in Joliet, I'd choose this place. The little savings elsewhere aren't worth it, and Priceline deals make the price difference negligible.

The app let us check in without going to the front desk, which was really convenient. My wife and I were visiting family and had a great stay. Our room and the shared areas were clean, and the continental breakfast was one of the better ones I've had, with a yogurt machine, muffins, toast, pancakes, and protein choices. There's a pool table and several board games in the lobby. Good value if you're visiting Joliet.

Tru was a great experience for me and my family, and the staff were all amazing. Sable, I think that was her name, really stood out. She was bright and bubbly, and everyone was kind, helpful, and happy to answer questions. The hotel felt new, perhaps only 4-5 months old when I stayed. There are outlets by the sofas and nearby tables. The front desk area is unusual and has snacks, liquor, a microwave, and more. A cozy corner on the left as you enter has a computer, printer, three seats for school, work, or quiet activities, and chargers. Welcoming and Friendly pictures on that side show a diverse group, and the hotel seems proud to display them. Accessibility for guests with disabilities could be better. The accessible rooms are large, and the peepholes are at both wheelchair and standard height, but the doors are heavy and have no automatic opener after you use the key card. The downstairs bathroom is roomy for wheelchairs but also lacks an automatic door button. There isn't a pool, but pets are allowed. I was told the extra charge was $75 per pet, though that might change. There are two elevators for three floors, board and card games plus some older games, a pool table, an exercise room, technology access, and short-stay options. Breakfast is complimentary, quiet hours are observed, and the place is LGBTQIA+ friendly and anti-racist. There are no extended-stay options. The pillows are overly puffy and don't conform to your head, though that's a personal issue. I know there's Wi-Fi, but I don't know whether it's free or paid. Liquor is available.

It's a new hotel, clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly. There's a range of snacks for sale in the lobby, but breakfast was minimal. The pancake maker was broken, and I didn't trust the yogurt dispenser, so I just had a toasted bagel. Everything in the room worked. I liked several design touches: the bathroom floor is a wood laminate that felt warmer and less slippery than typical tile, and the shower floor wasn't slippery when wet either. The hallway carpet gradually picks up red highlights as you approach the elevator and exit, which made it easier to find my way and might help in an emergency. I'd stay again. I hope the nearby mall gets renovated and becomes a destination again.

My daughters and I have stayed here several times, and for the price it's a solid five-star value. It isn't always perfectly quiet: we've had upstairs stomping and a neighbor yelling across the hall. I've learned to book the top floor. The staff have all been professional and helpful, even when some guests make things difficult. The breakfast can be a fantastic deal when the hot items are stocked and there's plenty of coffee. They also provide free bottled water whenever you want it, which my daughters now see as a reason to come back. It's not always pristine, but for the value, the staff, and the fact that my kids keep asking to return, this place earns five stars from us. One of the best Hilton brands.
