For our 2025 holiday event, we brought our team to Julian for an overnight stay. I'd been to Orchard Hill before and expected our group to enjoy a weekend there too. Booking an entire floor over the phone was smooth and professional, and staff promptly answered the team's questions. Each room is different, which made for a fun weekend of comparing them. Everything was immaculately clean and well kept. We took over the lounge for happy hour and enjoyed a variety of tasty appetizers. We'd hoped for snow, but it was too early, so instead we made the most of the expansive grounds, finding places to sit, chat, and relax together. The hotel, people, and atmosphere make it my favorite place to stay in the mountains. I wish I could move it to every remote place I visit! With a group this size and parking challenges at this time of year, we appreciated being able to walk five minutes to the places we wanted to go for apple pie and restaurants. It's a gorgeous property in an ideal location, and the outstanding team made our event a success. Thank you, Orchard Hill!

The room was lovely, and the staff at Orchard Hill are wonderful. They helped us arrange dinner reservations, and the picnic basket of muffins, fruit, and coffee they brought right to us was a sweet touch. We also really enjoyed the happy hour charcuterie. We'll be back.

We got exactly what we hoped for at Orchard Hill: a beautiful, private, cozy place with cabin-style rooms right in the heart of Julian. I'd gladly stay again. I booked through Hotels.com, which is Expedia. I still had points from before it joined Expedia, when it was a fabulous program, but the reservation led to a lot of trouble with Expedia. I won't go into the whole story. Their customer service wasn't focused on the customer. After more than four frustrating hours on the phone with them, I called the hotel to see whether they could sort it out. Becky at Orchard Hill fixed in less than five minutes what Expedia hadn't. She was incredibly friendly, polite, and kind. Orchard Hill is a fabulous boutique hotel with amazing, helpful staff.

I visited Orchard Hill for a mix of work and rest, and Julian in the fall is always a lovely choice. I think it's splendid there any time of year. The whole staff made the stay more magical. My room felt warm, welcoming, and inviting, and the service was personal, attentive, and quaint. The location speaks for itself. I can't wait to return.

The little separate cottages were a highlight for us. We had a great time chatting with other guests during happy hour and the wine tasting by the fireplace. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced.
