The host was so nice and accommodating, and the property itself is really cute. We loved the incredible views, the super clean room, and the comfortable bed. It's only three minutes from downtown Julian. Wish we could've stayed longer.

I'm long overdue in writing this. A few years ago, my wife booked a weekend for us and our kids at another lodge, but when we arrived it wasn't welcoming at all. She called to try to get a refund while I searched for somewhere else on short notice, on a Friday. I called the Hummingbird hotel, and they fit us in for the weekend. They didn't have a two-bed room available that late, but brought in a separate mattress for my kids and made up their bed. I was floored by how generous they were and how much they did to accommodate us. The grounds were quaint, cozy, and really nice too. I'm truly grateful to the people who run the place. They did an excellent job and provided great customer service. Thank you for everything.

The rooms have a really unique, artsy style, and the host was accommodating and available for anything we needed. Plus, there are animals! It's a perfect spot for couples who want somewhere nice to stay just outside town.

We loved feeding the goats and llamas on the property, and owner Chris was such a friendly, responsive host. My wife and I spent two nights in the Shady Lady room at the Wikiup Hummingbird Hotel. It was just the right size for us, and we especially liked the fireplace. The whole place has a charming, cozy feel. Best of all was the private wooden hot tub on the balcony. Soaking in the wood-burning tub at sunset made for amazing evenings. We hope to come back before too long.

My fiancé proposed to me on the patio, with rose petals supplied in a cute bucket by the entrance. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and genuinely nice. We stayed in the Shady Lady room, where they warmed our private hot tub for us every day. The other rooms have their own unique touches too. My fiancé and I spent most of our trip here because the place was so beautiful, and you can feed the goats and llamas! Cutest place I've ever visited. I'd highly recommend booking this hotel if you're staying in Julian.
