Maui Seaside Hotel

I picked this hotel for its central island location, airport shuttle, and convenience. The outside doesn’t look like much, but the renovated rooms were great. The beach is very small and walkable, with some debris, though that’s outside the hotel’s control. The pool was nice, and sitting outside in the morning was beautiful. Overall, a nice stay.

The on-site restaurant had good food at a good price, and the staff there were friendly too. Shops and restaurants are an easy walk from the hotel. I stayed for a week and had a great vacation. The hotel team were friendly and the room was comfortable, and I must have gotten one of their refurbished rooms. Only complaint: those damn paper straws in the drinks. The cute resident hotel cat will let you pet it. I’d stay again.

We missed our flight and booked Maui Seaside Hotel around 11 PM at the last minute. It turned out to be a solid choice. We got an Uber quickly, and the hotel was only 10 minutes from the airport. Check-in was easy, and we got two room cards. The room was decent and comfortable, though the shelves above the sink sit a little close, so be careful leaning in. The hotel has direct beach access, which was the biggest highlight, and the view was nice. There are lots of restaurants nearby. We had delicious breakfast at Tante’s Island Cuisine and got a 10% discount as hotel guests. We paid $70 for a late checkout at 3 PM, which was worth it. After we checked out, they stored our luggage and arranged a free airport shuttle. You can request it the same day, and it runs hourly. Beach towels are provided.

We arrived late in the evening and stayed one night because we needed to pick up our rental vehicle the next morning. The location was great, and there was an excellent restaurant next door. We had a standard room in the older section, so if you’re staying longer, I’d recommend getting a room with a patio and pool or seaside view. The front desk staff were great. I highly recommend it.
