Glacier International Lodge

The room was beautiful and very clean, and the view from the window was lovely. Day staff were warm and friendly, especially the team serving breakfast. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub until the night staff came in and demanded that we leave and get a required bracelet, then came back to insist we wear the stupid thing. The airport is only a five minute walk from the doors, and there’s a free shuttle too. I’d still return.

Adrienne and Gabe at the front desk were so personable, and the Christmas decorations looked beautiful. Our room was quiet enough that it felt like we might be the only guests, and there were lots of pleasant places to sit around the hotel. My daughter loved the water slide. Breakfast had a good selection, and the ladies working it were great. At the end, when we were the only ones left, they even offered us one last chance to get more food before packing it away. We came for a family staycation and hadn’t stayed here before, but we’ll be back.

The rooms were very clean and there are plenty of common areas, so we liked the hotel overall. The problem was the pool schedule. When we checked in, I specifically asked if they enforced the 9-10 p.m. adults-only hour and was told they did. We hurried back on Saturday night to enjoy a swim, arriving around 9:30, but the pool and hot tub were still full of kids. It sounds minor, but it really put a damper on our first trip as a couple without our kids in six years.

For $500 for four nights, including breakfast and an indoor pool, it felt like a good deal. Breakfast was great, and the pool slide was fun, though the water was a little chilly. One of the pool staff asked whether my child had a swim diaper on. I said yes, and he mentioned they had some if she didn’t, so I repeated that she was wearing one. Yet he didn’t say anything to a woman in the hot tub wearing jeans, which seemed odd. The pillows weren’t good, but I didn’t have many other complaints and would stay again.
