Best Friends Roadhouse and Mercantile

The staff are super nice, and there's a lot here for pets: two great play areas, a washing station, and food and water bowls for dogs and cats in the rooms. There's also an inner door so animals stay inside while you're coming or going. Breakfast is served in the little gift shop, and there's a laundry room too. Best Friends Roadhouse was easily our best stay with our three dogs. Everything is top notch and so convenient. Now, if only they had a pool and hot tub...😁

It's a great spot for walking downtown or to nearby trailheads, and all the staff made us feel welcome. We had our large dog with us and really liked the amenities. Our room was lovely, very clean, and pet friendly. The grounds have a xeric but still lush landscape, with really nice play yards for pets. Bestfriends Roadhouse is a fabulous place to stay with an animal.

The free continental breakfast had lots of vegan choices, and the coffee was great. We were welcomed with free goodies for both our dogs and us, plus tickets for the free lunch buffet. Everyone working here was so friendly, and somehow the whole motel stays clean and looks better than hotels we've stayed in around the world, even with so many pets coming through. There are so many thoughtful extras for people and dogs: a free pet spa, laundry with supplies, two dog parks, bowls and beds for dogs in the rooms, and even free earplugs, which helped since my husband was snoring like crazy. We'll definitely be back.

The grounds were free of pet waste and smells, and my pup loved running around the dog park before we got back on the road. We were driving from Phoenix to Salt Lake with my puppy, and I needed a stop for his first road trip. Best Friends Roadhouse worked out so well that I booked it again for the return. The staff were accommodating from the start, and didn't judge when my puppy was a little wild and full of energy. Our room was very clean, with no signs of other pets, and they provided bowls, dog towels, clear shelves to keep him out of things, and a pet bed without any hair on it. The double door was handy while we're still working on door training. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, so I got some work done. I can't recommend this place enough!
