The hotel does offer pickup from the rental car facility so you can drop off your car early, which was nice. But this was our second stay before a flight home, and it’ll be our last. The morning shuttle left us at arrivals instead of departures, unlike the other hotels, so we had to cross several lanes of traffic and climb stairs to check our bags. With three kids under seven, three bags, a car seat bag, and two backpacks, that was not convenient. The rooms are old and dated, and the place smelled of weed and food, like people lived there full time and cooked in their rooms. The pool was freezing, and the kids could only stay in for ten minutes. Spend a little more and stay somewhere else.

After ten hours in the car with our one-year-old, we arrived already exhausted. The outside and lobby didn’t look great, but we gave it a chance. The old bell carts were dirty, rusty, and falling apart. The smell in the elevator and on our room’s floor was the first thing I noticed. In the room, there was a strong musty odor, and every surface seemed filthy, dusty, dirty, or stained. It felt unsafe and unsanitary for our toddler, who crawls around and gets into everything, so we left quickly. The desk agents offered a different room, but we declined and asked for a refund so we could stay elsewhere. They gave us a full refund, which we appreciated. The room’s condition was unacceptable. I know it’s not a luxury property, but I wouldn’t pay any amount for a room like that. I can see I’m not the only guest who’s complained about the cleanliness.

We chose this hotel for its pool and positive reviews, but the pool was closed for maintenance all three days of our stay. The building was cold, the room wasn’t well kept, and staffing seemed sparse. One day, a delivery truck blocked the only driveway, leaving us unable to get out for an appointment. Our key cards stopped working several times. Staff blamed nearby cell phones, but after the first time we were careful to keep the cards away from them and the problem continued. None of the ice machines worked. Really disappointed.

The staff were cordial, and I could get cold water for my bottle downstairs in the dining area. The room had a cramped spot for the fridge beside the restroom and closet. There was no ice anywhere in the hotel during our first night on the way to our destination. When we stopped again on the way home, we heard ice was available on one floor, but never found any. The hallway on our floor smelled, and this time the water downstairs was only somewhat cool.
