The hotel smelled of cigarettes and marijuana, and there were roaches crawling on the couch in our room. I had to kill one. The front desk clerk checked us in while on her cell phone, with an attitude and no smile or welcome. It was rude and unprofessional. This place deserves negative stars. Nancy shouldn't be a manager, her people skills are horrible.

The woman who checked us in was polite, welcoming, and very professional. The hotel was short-staffed, so she had come over from another property to help, but she handled everything so well you wouldn't have known. The customer service was excellent. The rooms are very dated, worn, and need a deep clean. In mine, the counter looked as if a large suitcase had landed on it. It was bent into a U shape and nearly pulling away from the wall. The kitchen looked like it hadn't changed since the 1980s, and the furnishings were old. The bed was uncomfortable, with obvious dips in the mattress where previous guests had slept, and I couldn't get a good night's rest. I won't stay here again unless the property gets a complete renovation and upgrade.

Don't stay here. The place smelled of cigarettes and weed, had cockroaches throughout, and nothing seemed to have been cleaned. The staff were terrible and rude. The front desk employee with tattoos all over was on her phone during check-in and treated me rudely. Nancy the manager was rude too. Extended Stay, do better than replying to comments to look good. Show up at this location and fix the problems. Do your job and fix this hotel.

The room was comfortable, clean, and good quality, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had no issues during my stay at Extended Stay America by the Kansas City Airport. It's very close to the airport, which made getting around for travel easy. I'd stay here again.
