Chris brought me fresh towels, toilet paper, and other supplies after I reported the issue, and he was very helpful. I thanked him for the excellent service. My room hadn’t been cleaned on Saturday, the second day of my weekend stay, even though I’d asked for daily cleaning when booking through Hilton. Marcy had assured me on a follow-up call that rooms were cleaned every day. I left at 10:00 am with the heat turned off, since it wasn’t needed, then returned at 1:30 to find the room untouched, including the toilet. Chris said housekeeping had left and that the person assigned to my room said she’d cleaned it. I told him she hadn’t and invited him to check; he said he believed me and didn’t need to see it. Someone had been in the room, though, because the heat was on when I returned. Marcus at the front desk was professional and helpful, and Chris, who was working Saturday and Sunday, also gave good information and assistance. I’d rate the stay four stars, though it would have been five if the room had been cleaned both days.

The room was very clean and the staff were wonderful. Breakfast was great, too. My only issue was the firm mattress, which wasn’t comfortable for me because I have a bad back. Still, I had a nice stay.

It was a pleasant hotel for our weekend trip to Worlds of Fun, though the price was a bit high. The rooms and linens were clean, and there were a fair number of amenities. I especially appreciated that breakfast had options for vegans, which I don’t often find. Getting to 435 and Worlds of Fun was easy.

My bed had me itching all night, and I woke up with a bug on me. My head has been itching a lot, and I’m going to the doctor to check for lice or bed bugs. The whole thing felt unsanitary and off. Housekeeping was another problem. I stayed Monday through Friday and got no room service by Wednesday, so I specifically asked for clean bedding and fresh towels. Nothing had been done when I returned. On Thursday there were new towels, but the bed was still unmade and the sheets hadn’t been changed. At check-in, the front desk guy didn’t even know if the room was clean and had to go upstairs to look. There was also literally nobody at the front desk when I wanted to talk about these problems. So annoying. Get it together.
