Wingate by Wyndham Kansas City

The restaurant serves freshly prepared food, and the quality was excellent. The new bar is a welcome feature, and the attractive pool area added a relaxing touch to our stay. The comfortable, well-kept rooms were a nice place to unwind. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience, and it seems like a lot of work is going into making the atmosphere more welcoming. I'd gladly stay again.

The lobby looks pretty, but the Google photos are out of date, and it was too cold to swim. Our room wasn't clean, with rose petals left by the previous guest, and it didn't have a smart TV, so we couldn't watch what we wanted. The bathroom and all the towels smelled like pee, and the air conditioner smelled like rotten eggs. Construction in the unit above us meant loud banging from 9am-7pm. They don't offer extra pillows. The place isn't the worst, but it isn't nice either, it's very old and run down and seems to get only a surface clean, with lots of dust. I'd suggest seeing it before booking.

We were there on a holiday weekend when the hotel was full, so it might not have been a fair picture of its usual condition. The common area made a great first impression, with a fun atmosphere around the pool, bar, and check-in desk. Our room needed more attention to stray hairs and random stains, and some ceiling tiles weren't in place.

The newly opened restaurant and bar were a real plus. The food was delicious, nicely presented, and offered good variety, while the stylish bar was a great place to unwind in the evening. The rooms and shared areas were extremely clean and well cared for, which made the stay relaxing. Staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. I'd highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, service, and dining options.
