The location made getting to downtown restaurants, entertainment, and attractions easy, and the hotel has that mix of historic charm and modern comfort that I'd come back for. We were impressed as soon as we walked in: the building is beautiful, the restored lobby is striking, and the design details feel carefully considered. Our spacious room was clean and very comfortable, with quality bedding and a well-appointed bathroom. The Keurig coffee maker was a welcome touch in the morning. Staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful, and the atmosphere felt both sophisticated and welcoming. Hotel Kansas City delivered a boutique luxury stay, and I’d confidently recommend it for business or a weekend away.

We found it easy to reach restaurants, entertainment, and local attractions from this downtown spot. The staff were friendly and professional, and helped with requests and recommendations. Having dining and a bar on site was handy too. The restored historic building keeps its original character while feeling elegant and current, with thoughtful lighting and details throughout. Our room was spacious and calm, with high ceilings, comfortable furnishings, and excellent cleanliness and upkeep. It felt luxurious without being stiff. Hotel Kansas City is a welcoming, stylish place that reflects the city's character, and made for a memorable stay.

The room was clean and lovely, and the bed was really comfortable. The lobby looked beautiful too. We visited on Valentine's day when a wedding reception and nightclub event were happening, so the hotel was very busy. Room service didn't have my entree, and sent our order up without telling us or offering a replacement. I eventually got a meal two hours after we first ordered. They refunded the whole meal, which seemed fair. The TV was a bit far from the bed for watching a movie, and parking was inconvenient and distant unless you paid for valet. The stay was good, but with all those factors, I'm not sure I'd return.

We picked the hotel for my best friend's 25th birthday staycation, and it was the right choice. The place is stunning, with its history on display and everything from the entrance to the rooms looking gorgeous and well cared for. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The 24-hour valet was especially convenient, and you can text the front desk to have your car brought around before you head downstairs. The little coffee shop was perfect for a quick morning start. We had reservations elsewhere, so didn't try the restaurant or bar.

Parking was $45 a night with valet, so we used the garage at 148 E 13th St instead, where it was $26 for 24 hrs. The valet drivers and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We had a very pleasant stay, and will visit again. The lobby and bar looked stunning, and our suite was clean and roomy. TV casting, a mini fridge, and the coffee bar were all nice extras.
