La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kansas City Airport

The location was convenient, with plenty of places to eat nearby if you don’t want to drive far. My room was clean and comfortable, and everything felt well kept and relaxing after a long day. From check-in onward, the staff were warm and friendly, and they helped make the stay smooth and easy. I had a great stay at La Quinta by the airport in Kansas City, and I’d happily return or recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place near the airport.

We came for the Chiefs game and had a wonderful stay. The location was so convenient, just steps from shops and restaurants, and breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, which made us feel welcome. I also loved having the juice and water machine available all day. Our room was very comfortable, although the jacuzzi tub jets weren’t working during our visit. That was a small letdown, but we still really enjoyed the stay and will definitely be back.

This place is beautiful, and the rooms are roomy and comfortable. The staff are kind and helpful, and they clearly pay attention when guests need something. I slept late on housekeeping day and asked for service, so they arranged it for the next day. When I came back, the room looked just like it had when I first checked in. I highly recommend it!

We left for another hotel and were glad to pay more. This was one of the worst places I’ve EVER stayed. Cigarette and weed smoke filled every floor. In our first room there were stains and drips on the walls, rotting sheetrock in the bathroom, slimy-feeling water, hard lumpy beds and pillows, and no hot water in the shower. When I called to ask to switch, they wouldn’t check another room. They made me go see whether the water worked myself. The second room was no better: mold, blood and other stains on the walls, more slimy water, and an A/C unit that sounded like a motorcycle starting up and only blew warm air. Another family in our group had to change rooms too. The front desk gave the parent a key for a room that already had someone in it. Imagine if they’d done that with one of our players’ rooms and a strange man had walked in on four teenage girls. We only stayed because this was recommended as a “stay and play” hotel for our daughter’s team’s tournament. Shame on whoever approved it for teenage girls. The breakfast was cold powdered eggs, slimy sausage, rock-hard biscuits, and powdered gravy. The hot plates didn’t keep the food warm. The staff didn’t seem to care. The website photos aren’t of this hotel. Between two weed shops and a Motel 6, the location looked sketchy. If it were any sketchier, it would come with a waiver and a tetanus shot. Shut this place down IMMEDIATELY!
