Plantation Hale Suites

We had a great time and enjoyed the pool and convenient location. Our unit in the A building was dated, and since we like to cook, the kitchen could’ve used a pasta strainer, cutting board, and some non-stick pans. There were also extra fees added at the end, $30 per day for parking and BBQ facilities. I wondered whether the condo owner already pays for those through the usual fees.

The location is great, and if you get an ocean view, I think that’s worth the price. Pools and hot tubs were readily available to us, and parking was always available. It could work as a cheap place to crash if you don’t plan to spend much time lounging there. But after a few days, the poor condition of our unit really started to grate on us. We knew it was old and had mainly chosen it for the location, but the kitchen was a particular letdown because we like to cook. It’s a condominium-style development, so quality may vary between units. Our host and property manager responded quickly when we called, but I question why the owner would let our unit get into such poor shape. There were two burners that didn’t work, the refrigerator light was out, and the microwave didn’t work. The kitchen had no non-stick pans or medium or small pans, just a few plastic cups to take to the pool, two ice trays, and no ice maker. There weren’t suitable cookware, gadgets, or utensils for real cooking. Cabinet handles were missing above the fridge, and some outlets and switches shorted out. The bed sagged badly, with no box spring and a missing center support. The couch was beyond salvage or donation and very uncomfortable. The ceiling fan was unbalanced and noisy, and another fan that was there to use was broken. The bedroom had the only AC unit, while the small, weak ceiling fan couldn’t keep the rest of the place from heating up. The refrigerator, range, and other appliances felt like they were from the 1980s, and everything else was outdated too. It’s good that there are relatively inexpensive ocean-view places on the coast, but it’s best to know what you are, and aren’t, getting for the lower price.

It was easy to get to the roads from our suite, which made heading in any direction convenient. We could walk to Coconut Marketpkace and take a nice path down to the beach. Everyone we spoke with was kind and helpful whenever we called with a question or needed something. We loved the suite and felt it was a great place to stay. We’d come back if the price is right.

The grounds were gorgeous, and we had an ocean view from the lanai. Our rooms and the property were clean and quiet, and the beds were comfortable. Though the place is older, it’s been kept in great condition and looks updated. We appreciated the full kitchens, AC, pools, and hot tubs, along with plenty of parking. There’s a beautiful, uncrowded beach within walking distance, and the nearby shops were handy. The location is central, with convenient access to the airport and the north and south shores. We enjoyed our stay and felt we got good value. God is Amazing!
