Days Inn & Suites Katy

I come back often, and my husband and I always have a pleasant stay. The rooms are consistently clean, the breakfast is fresh and delicious, and the service is always five-star. Manager Vick is especially nice and accommodating. I’d recommend this place as a first choice.

This was my first stay, on September 29. When I arrived, two people ahead of me were waiting because the computer was down and the desk agent couldn’t book them in. They left to find another hotel. AJ at the front desk told me to book online so he could check me in that way. Wyndham Rewards showed no rooms available, so I booked through Priceline. The next day I asked about points. A cocky, short guy at the desk said I couldn’t get them because I’d booked through Priceline. I explained what happened, and he called me a liar. When I asked for the manager, he said the manager wasn’t there and promised to have them call me, but no call came. A couple of days later, he did tell me the manager had approved the points. On my second day at breakfast, that same guy and another staff member watched me, then checked the pans after I’d taken my food, as if they wanted to see how much I’d had. Private ambulance workers who didn’t stay at the hotel ate breakfast there for free every morning, yet they checked up on me as a paying guest. I was already fed up with that guy, and later learned from AJ that he was also a manager, so I checked out the next day. As I left that afternoon, I spoke with AJ, the senior Manager. He said he’d upgrade my room if I came back. His customer service was exceptional, unlike the rest. I’ll post about my experience when I return a couple of days later.

The rate felt very reasonable for the comfort and quality. My room was well kept and fresh, with a comfortable bed that gave me a great night’s sleep. I’d definitely stay again.

Booking was easy, the staff were friendly, and my king room was clean and spacious for one. It’s in a quiet area, convenient to food, shopping, and the interstate. The AC vents need cleaning because they made me stuffy. Breakfast was okay, but for the price I’d like a few more choices, like bacon, grits, biscuits, and different bagel spreads. What they had wasn’t bad, so the breakfast reviews are fair.
