ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham Houston Katy West

Tiewand, the night Manager at Echo, gave us exceptional service and is a real asset. The room was spotless, and the hotel is right behind Buccee’s. As a military family, we appreciated the extra online discount. I’ve stayed at plenty of high-end places, and Echo’s professionalism and treatment really stand out. We’ll book again.

The whole hotel feels inviting, and the rooms were clean and fresh. I came with my daughter and loved how the staff welcomed us as soon as we walked in and made us feel important. It was my first time here, and I’d recommend it to everyone.

I came for Thanksgiving and spent three great nights here. The building is BRAND NEW, everything was clean, and it was quiet. There’s a Buc-ee’s and a CVS right across the street, which is hard to beat. The night-shift woman was very polite and helped with my room request. I’m impressed, especially since this was my first stay in this kind of complex-style hotel and my first ECHO Suites. I’d gladly stay here in Katy or at another ECHO Suites.

The staff are really nice, and it’s a good hotel, but some things need attention. The traffic around the roundabout is crazy, which affects the location rating. The walls are so thin that you hear everything from your neighbors, with no quiet or privacy. The motion-sensor lights turn off within five minutes, so you can’t read in the bathroom or by the bed, and there’s no way to keep them on. Worst of all, hot water is almost never available. Nine times out of ten it doesn’t even get warm. You expect hot water at a hotel. Fixing that and the lights would make this place much better.
