Best Western Aladdin Inn

The breakfast was a good way to start the day, with eggs, waffles, sausage, cereal, country potatoes, yogurt, milk, cream, coffee, and more. Staff were friendly, and I found the hotel relatively clean, comfortable, and convenient. Being near the freeway made getting around easy, with dining options nearby too. It’s a reliable no-frills stay, and I’d come back for a short, budget-friendly, stress-free visit, as long as I knew what I was paying for. That said, the place is dated and could use some refurbishing. The dark carpets hide dirt, the doors squeak, the mattress is lumpy, and the walls are thin. BW could update it to a more modern and comfortable standard. Kelso and global travelers expect a little more from a reputable chain.

Check-in was quick and the service was friendly. The TV is new, breakfast was good, and there’s a pool. Parking was a little tight for my larger vehicle, but I found a spot. It’s close to lots of things to do, and I’ll stay again. One of the best hotels in town.

The pool was warm enough to get straight in, and surprisingly deep for a small pool. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the front desk people made us feel like we’d made new friends when we left. We’ll definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

The building’s old, but I think it has character. I especially liked the rounded gym room, though that may just be my architectural bias. The pool was clean and didn’t smell overwhelmingly of chlorine. I didn’t see any signs of bugs or pests, and the place felt reasonably safe. There’s no such thing as a perfect town, but this was a great stop, and we’ll be back. I appreciated the staff, and we never had a bad interaction. The breakfast room was clean and well organized. We only passed through briefly after a late check-in, but the attendant was working hard to keep it in good shape. Ashley and the other front desk girl whose name started with A, sorry, I’ve forgotten it after that late check-in, were lovely, helpful, and patient with two tired guests. We had to ask for extra blankets, and the desk staff sorted that out. Housekeeping is doing a great job, too. There were a few small stains in the corner of our sheets, but they were usable and I wasn’t worried. There’s only so much bleach can get out of white sheets. We’ll be stopping again. Thanks!
