Hilton Garden Inn Texarkana

With my sister having just passed, we needed somewhere to stay, and I picked Hilton because I'm a Hilton Honors Member. The staff, restaurant, and location all worked perfectly for us. The hotel is in the middle of a redo, though, and the rooms were just okay. Maybe the renovations explain why things felt a bit unsettled, but our sheets were put on backwards and the room needed a better cleaning. I guess I expected more from a Hilton Garden Inn, especially one of the most expensive hotels around. Thanks...

I ate breakfast every morning and dinner every night at the hotel, and both were enjoyable. Arron, who served breakfast, was fantastic, and having a big steak without leaving the property was hard to beat. The staff also gave clear directions, described my room accurately, and suggested local attractions worth seeing. The room had been fully remodeled just a few weeks earlier and was absolutely spotless. I felt welcome as soon as I came into the beautifully decorated lobby and restaurant, and the front desk greeted me with smiles and got me checked in faster and more easily than ever. I had such a great holiday stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Texarkana that I’ll be back whenever I come home to TXK for the holidays.

The room was modern and beautifully updated, with stylish fixtures and good lighting. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom stood out with its upscale feel, bright lighting, and glass shower without a tub. The 5th floor, where we stayed, smelled crisp and clean, as did the rest of the hotel. The housekeeping standards showed throughout. What made the biggest impression on us was Chynett Harris. She has a humble, kind, selfless way about her, and her warmth made us feel cared for. Her pride and quiet dedication are clear, and people like her can change an entire stay. Chynett Harris is a real asset to Hilton Garden Inn, and she’s why this location has our loyalty and highest recommendation. This was more than a hotel stay. The smallest details and the kindest people leave the strongest memories. Ten stars aren’t enough, but that’s what I’m giving.

The room was clean and everything was fine, except the blackout curtains wouldn’t close all the way. Parking lot lights shone in like stadium lights, so I leaned the tall floor lamp against the window to block the gap. Bring a clothespin or chip clip if that might bother you. If you’re a Hilton Member and want free breakfast, there’s a Hampton Inn right next door, close enough to hit with a rock.
