Getting in and out was easy, with a quick check-in and checkout and no hassle. The rooms were clean and well kept, so settling in was comfortable from the start. Great stay, and I'd come back.

The room was hard to sleep in. I could hear loud wind coming through the wall AC and heating unit all night, and lights from the fire alarm kept flashing. Housekeeping was the worst I've seen at a hotel: hair on the bathroom floor by the shower, stains on the dirty mirror, and dust all over the headboards and baseboards. The Keurig was dusty too, and there weren't any coffee or tea pods, so what's the point of having it? I had a late checkout until noon, but housekeeping came at 11:15 to get into the room. I told them I had a late checkout, as if they didn't know or care. There was no hospitality at the front desk. The owners and managers clearly don't care about providing clean, good service. They cut corners while trying to come across as a nice hotel, but it's more like a motel. I stayed years ago and hated it for the same reasons, and gave it another chance. It's still awful. From the other bad reviews, nothing seems to have changed. Don't waste your money here. It should be called "The Bare Minimum."

The room had clearly been remodeled, but it was bare bones and felt like a renovated motel room. It wasn't clean when we arrived either, so we had to wipe sticky coffee stains and hair off the nightstands ourselves. The pillows were the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. We tossed and turned until 3 a.m. We were visiting from Chicago for an early appointment in Kenosha, and our one night there happened to be our wedding anniversary. My husband had called a few days ahead to ask for local suggestions to make the occasion special. The front desk person gave a very blasé answer and sent him a link to Kenosha's website, which wasn't helpful. They knew it was our first anniversary, but there was no surprise or gesture. Since the hotel also hosts weddings, that was disappointing. With so few guests that night, an upgrade to a bigger room would've been easy. There was no food at the hotel because the restaurant closes on Sundays, and the canteen only had a sparse selection of overpriced chips. It was late, so we went to a fast food place before our early morning. Even though the hotel was quiet and had plenty of availability, the front desk person seemed more interested in their phone than making our stay pleasant. After years in customer service and knowing people in hospitality, I'm disappointed by how little care we received. This town isn't Chicago and the place has potential, but guests need to be treated with more thought. I won't recommend it. If you're going to Kenosha, I'd suggest the Wyndham instead.

I thought I'd found the quaint place I love to stay, but I'll never return. I was so excited and ended up deeply disappointed. The front desk was often empty, or the staff there were busy on their phones or computer, so they might as well not have been there. In my first-floor room, the windows faced the street and the blinds were broken. I had to climb onto the desk to close them. The coffee maker didn't work, and two days later they replaced it with another one that didn't work either. The service was horrible.

We had a great turnout for our yacht club's 40th anniversary party in the small banquet room across from the restaurant bar at Stella hotel and banquet hall. The food was amazing, and the staff looking after us were just as good. They have the best Chef there now, who really knows how to prepare delicious food. It was difficult to reach the banquet coordinator and food coordinator, which was the one downside. But in the end, everything worked out, and both made sure we had what we needed. We were very, very happy.
