Days Inn Kent - Akron

I've stayed at this Days Inn and the two nearby hotels in the same budget range. The vanity outside the bathroom is a great feature, and both rooms I've had here were comfortable and up to date. The staff are friendly and responsive, and I found the rest of the hotel better than those other two. I'd definitely return and recommend it.

I needed somewhere on short notice for a work trip, and Days Inn did the job. The beds were clean, and the bathrooms had large bottles of shampoo and body wash. I also liked being able to relax in bed with Big Bang Theory reruns on. Breakfast is included, with oatmeal, fresh fruit, eggs in containers, and Eggo waffles. Everything was clean and there was enough to leave full, though the selection is limited and there aren't waffle pans. I enjoy waffles when I travel, so I was a little disappointed, even if that was my own assumption. Adding cut-up banana or apple to the oatmeal or waffles makes breakfast more filling. Food options nearby are scarce. If you're arriving by bus or Uber without a car and need dinner, I'd stop at a grocery store before checking in. It's affordable and felt safe, so I'd recommend it for a quick place to stay.

I extended my stay because I was comfortable here while getting settled in the area. The staff are welcoming and kind, and the rooms are what you'd expect from this kind of hotel. I haven't had any problems or complaints. The affordable, reliable stay is just what I needed. Looking through the bad reviews, I wondered if a competitor was trying to damage the place's reputation, since my experience has been exactly what I wanted.

My husband, daughter, granddaughters, and I needed a hotel after a drunk driver hit a transformer and left us without power until morning. We only slept in the beds to keep warm, and left the rooms clean, but they still kept my $50 deposit. I won't recommend this place.
