Rodeway Inn & Suites

I booked a king room, specifically one of the updated ones, for myself and my family of three, including my infant son at the time. We drove four hours to visit my mother, who was vacationing there for the 4th of July, only to be told that the room wasn't available and get put somewhere else. The replacement was on the second floor, which wasn't great with a stroller. There were blood droplets along the walkway and up the stairs we had to use. The room was gross. The carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 15 years, there was mold under the sink fixtures and in the bathroom, and there were signs of cockroach droppings. The room smelled so strongly of Raid that it gave me a headache. The a/c barely worked and smelled moldy too. I knew my infant couldn't stay there. We charged another stay at the Holiday Inn up the road, which was amazing, especially in how they accommodated our little one. I will say the young woman at the front desk was helpful and understanding.

Adriana was warm and welcoming, and gave us good suggestions. The room was clean and minimal, with basic amenities, and the place is conveniently connected to restaurants, bars, and a CVS. Our only issue was the room a/c, which made noise all night. It's worth considering if you're on a budget.

I know $200 a night is cheap for Key Largo, but this place shouldn't be charging that. What a dump. We would've gone to another hotel, but there were no rooms available.

The outside and the pictures make this old hotel look great, but the rooms didn't live up to that. At about $200 a night, it felt expensive, and the bathrooms clearly need updating. The sink and shower faucets haven't been upgraded, the tubs have poor caulking, and the bathroom door has what looks like mud patching. The carpets and faucets need replacing too. The owner needs to renovate the rooms. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
